Corporate Branding & Web Design

Today, instead of talking business, we would like to introduce two theatrical features:

First:

A Marketing Tragedy in 3 Chapters:

Chapter 1: The Free Consultant

Who is more likely to complain about the quality of steak? The customer who received a free steak or the one who paid $20?

Now reverse that thought. How often do we find ourselves receiving feedback from family and friends concerning our <substitute with product, design, or service>? But, is this feedback real? Do they have authority? Do they understand the consequences of a botched launch – no matter how genuine their intentions are?

Friends and family may be fantastic supporters, but they are (usually) not marketing professionals.

Chapter 2: Platitudes

For today’s customers, platitudes stand out like a sore thumb. Content that builds on terms such as ‘great’, ‘innovative’, ‘groundbreaking’, or ‘exclusive’, without delivering evidence for the claim will only alienate, not engage. Adjectives are not USPs; surely not in a B2B setting.

Your customer wants facts, not platitudes – with the right.

Chapter 3: Copy/Paste

How often have you heard: “This is the way <substitute with any Google, Apple, Starbucks, et al of your choice> does it, so we’ll do that, too.” But the truth is that leaders don’t follow (lead ≠ follow) and neither should you.

Ask yourself: why should your customer be interested in something that is already out there? What is your USP, your value-added, and how do you communicate it to a potential customer?

With this in mind, we move forward to our next theatrical feature:

A Web Design Drama in 3 Chapters:

Chapter 1: A Website is for Information

Sure, your products and services will likely be a large part of the website’s content.

However here is your chance to engage by delivering more than that.

Now you have the chance to verbalize all of the stories you have built into your branding, your logo, and your colors. Your story, including the often unexpected small tales that make you unique. Your team and their distinctive backgrounds and passions.

This is your chance to shine with facts, not platitudes.

Your website should open deeper layers to support your brand.

Chapter 2: Wow, That Website looks great!

Yes, recent research by Gartner exposed that a potential customer will decide within 8 seconds if he is interested in further engaging in a new website. This is a strong argument for the importance of the design.

But this is not where the chapter ends…

The same research holds that a customer is likely to leave if a website doesn’t load the first content within 1.2 seconds and fully loads within 3 seconds. 88% of customers will not return to a website if they had a negative experience.

Beginning July 2021, Google will start to de-rank websites, if they are not responsive to mobile users. A great website on a 1920-pixel wide computer monitor will certainly not look great (or even be functional) on a 414-pixel mobile phone.

Why is this important? For the first time in 2020, the number of mobile searches on Google surpassed those from a desktop/laptop.

In other words, it is no longer possible to engage customers with pretty/handsome, you also need the brains (read: back-end tech)

Chapter 3: A Website is for the Customer

On the surface, definitely, yes. It should be interesting enough to engage the potential customer.

But what kind of engagement are we talking about? From your customers’ perspective, engagement may be to collect more information. From your perspective, engagement might be to start a conversation with a potential customer and of course, convert a sale.

Here lies the real potential of your website: nurture your sales funnel. All the breadcrumbs you’ve dropped on social media, paid advertising et al have one purpose only: to build awareness and enough interest for your potential customer to visit your website, gain more interest, engage with your company and convert the sales.

Clearly structured user interfaces and user experience (UI/UX) are the backbones to lead your customer to respond to a ‘call to action’ (CTA). CTAs can be a button called ‘ask for a quote’, ‘download free sample’, or simply ‘sign up for <xyz>’.

Of course, now the back-end of your website should be fully integrated with a CRM, auto-mailing system, marketing drip system, or newsletter.

While the front-end is truly for your customer, the back-end, with seamless tech integration, is where you engage and convert your sales funnel.

Epilogue:

Our background in executive management paired with our team of designers and tech experts, allow us to look from the inside -> out, rather than from the outside -> in.

Partner International Consulting is your one-stop service to develop your story, put it into a design and add the back-end tech to convert your potential clients.

Management Consulting

Strategic, Tactical, and Operational Support

Developing strategies, translating these into tactics, and supporting the operational implementation. That is our core USP.

No matter if you are looking for an external perspective of the firm, transitioning or turning around: every consultant in our team is an expert in planning as well as operational implementation.

Knowledge Transfer and Training

We take special care to train your organization to carry on after we complete our project. Consulting should not only have a short-time effect. Your organization should gain intrinsic knowledge of all analytics, processes, and implementation procedures.

All of our consultants have train-the-trainer coaching. We strongly encourage small team building and direct co-working with our experts to maximize the learning effect at all stages.

Confidentiality

Of course, there are situations where our work is highly confidential; even inside your organization. Confidentiality is our “bread and butter” as well as our pride.

Speaking of confidentiality: did you know that NDAs (non-disclosure agreements) are worthless in China? What you need is an NNN!

Bridging the Gaps between Cultures

Bridges vs Gaps

One could say that a bridge fills a gap between locations, cultures, or mindsets. However, if there were no commonality or advantage (a need to “get to the other side”), nobody would bother to build the bridge in the first place.

The Power of Commonality

Dr. Geiger has lived among different cultures from early childhood and learned that commonalities have much greater power than bridges to overcome gaps.

With this approach, he has supported Western companies deal with cultural clashes within training programs, management, the negotiation of alliances, and the livability of joint ventures.

Vice versa, he has supported Chinese companies and governmental institutions before and during their dealings with Western organizations and delegations.

Our Support

We offer training, workshops, coaching as well as hands-on support before, during, and after negotiations in Mandarin, English, German and French.

Operational Excellence

Standardization: Tailor-Made Implementaiton

While there is much buzz about Industry 4.0, we find that many Chinese operations are still lacking fundamental standardization of processes.

Therefore, we specialize in the rapid development of tailor-made production systems, quality management systems. In participatory and moderated workshops, we include your management and team leaders from day 1 to ensure organizational and cultural fit to your organization.

While most copy/paste implementations of Toyota/Bosch/AUDI Production System fail within a short period, our unique approach offers you a stable, accepted, and well-trained foundation to build on.

Standardization: Training

In 2012, we developed and built China’s first Logistics Training Center, to train all current and newly onboarding staff in an organization of 13,000+ staff. Adapting the German dual-education principle of theory and practical (read: hands-on) training, we were honored to additionally train all operations lecturers of vocational colleges in Jilin province.

POMOS

To top it off, after many years of experience working with Chinese, Asian, and Western organizations, we have developed a holistic process-oriented matrix organization structure (POMOS), which complies with balances Asian and Western management style into a robust organizational structure, including all supporting departments.
